Food Supplements
Food supplements rich in energy, protein, and enriched with minerals are provided as well as additional vegetable and fruits to ensure a proper and balanced diet for the elephants in the WKNP-ERUs.
Additional food supplements are also provided for sick elephants as well as additional fodder during long dry seasons when natural food availability inside the WKNP is poor. In each ERU deep wells have been drilled ensuring adequate water quality and quantity for drinking and for bathing all WKNP-ERU elephants, especially during long, intense dry seasons.
